Early Head Start Program - New Mexico Children

Early Head Start provides comprehensive child and family development services for low-income families with infants and toddlers ages birth to three years. Early Head Start provides early, continuous, intensive and comprehensive child development and family support services on a year-round basis. The purpose of the program is to enhance children's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development for school readiness; to support parents' efforts to fulfill their parental roles; and to help parents move toward self-sufficiency. New Mexico Children offers a two-option program for children and their families consisting of Home-based Option and Center-based Option providing services at licensed Childhood Development Centers. At all times Early Head Start services at least 10% children with disabilities.
